Images of Hobold's table #87 At the Gates of Loyang // Hobold’s take? #1

I owe you an update on the look of the miniatures for At the Gates of Loyang. As you well know, I often tweak things—even the tiniest details. That constant change is what makes the hobby fun for me, and it's always a sign, however small, of progress in my skills. This time, the figures have gained… necks and extra facial features. More work, but there’s no turning back now :)

As for the game itself—well, it's one of those titles that has a permanent spot on my shelf. The card deck ensures high replayability, the gameplay is lighter than Agricola, and it's a real pleasure to play solo. The artwork? Klemens Franz at his best—beautiful colors and great style. Highly recommended. This title deserves to be in permanent circulation from publishers.
