I am a huge fan of the Great Western Trail. I was not convinced of the second edition. Graphic changes are a matter of taste, in my case just a habit. I like the slight changes in the mechanics, although they slightly reduce the difficulty of the game. However, I love two-layered player boards - this element should be a must in every game. See some photos taken during the first game of the second edition of this great game. I can't wait for the secont and third part of GWT trilogy.
If you are a fan of GWT it's hard decission to buy 2ed (I received this box from Lacerta, for which I am very grateful). For those who are just wondering whether to wear a cowboy hat, there are additional arguments in favor of hitting the trail. (I personally think that not knowing GWT is a shame :D)
